AAP’s dinner for 10k per person, an assault on Punjab’s culture

‘Langar’, the tradition of food sharing through community kitchen has been an integral part of Sikh religion. N stark contrast to Punjabi culture, Aam Aadmi Party, which proclaims of being a representative of ‘common-man’, is selling a meal for whopping Rs. 10,000.

AAP claims to be the party of common people and still it doesn’t shy away from charging Rs 10,000 for a plate for having dinner with its leaders. From ‘Selfie with Mufflerman’ to ‘Coffee with Kejriwal’, there is no end to AAP’s cheap antics to earn much needed money. The party can stoop to any extent to earn some quick buck.

It must be noted here that people had to pay whopping Rs. 20,000 for a cup of coffee.

Shortage of funds but not for advertising

Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party is crying of shortage of funds and sighting the reason behind such acts. But, the crucial question arises here – they have massive fund of Rs 526 crores for self-glorification through advertising.

If AAP was short of funds, and it was forced to resort to such tactics, then it should stop giving expensive advertisements in print and electronic media.

Aam Aadmi Party rose to the ranks of claiming to offer clean & alternative politics. They also claims to be committed to the cause of common people and project to be their representative. But far from their tall claims, the party has reduced to be only for rich & affluent people.

It is no one’s guess that who all can pay Rs. 10,000 for a dinner and Rs. 20,000 for a cup of coffee?
