AAP MLA, Alka Lamba led to demolition of ‘Chabeel’

“Curfew like situation was stirred after demolition of ‘Chabeel’ (water kiosk) at historical SheeshGanj Sahib Gurudwara at Chandni Chowk. This move was initiated after the intervention of Chandni Chowk MLA, Alka Lamba.”

Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmin Party (AAP) has always shown commitment towards Sikh cause. Arvind Kejriwal also never leaves any opportunity to project himself as well wisher of Sikh community. But in stark contrast to their claims, they have yet again shown insensitivity to entire Sikh community by deeply hurting their sentiments.

Alka Lamba gave orders to demolish ‘chabeel’

Alka Lamba, AAP MLA from Chandni Chowk who also happens to be the Director Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation (SRDC) took a hasty decision of clearing the crowded area after getting pulled up High Court. On the pretext of High court’s orders to take necessary steps to clean up the mess, Lamba put up the case with Delhi CM and latter ordered representatives of all concerned agencies to initiate action against squatters and unauthorised construction.

It is noteworthy here that it was decided in the meeting headed by Alka Lamba that even the religious structures encroached illegally would be removed in the drive. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) assured the government to start removing the encroachments.

Later NDMC expressed its inability to act due to non-availability of police force. Then Delhi gave an assurance to provide adequate number of police personnel as and when the corporation would have begun the drive against illegal construction.

Vicious agenda of spreading communal disharmony

AAP government has always played politics on religious grounds. In the name of governance, they not only hindered an act of humanity but also deeply hurt Sikh sentiments. It was their conspiracy to spread communal disharmony in Punjab ahead of Assembly elections in the state next year.
