Sukhpal Khaira’s entry creates ripples in AAP

“Despite stiff opposition from three out of four MPs of Aam Aadmi Party, the party high command had paved the way for Congress rebel leader, Sukhpal Singh Khaira’s entry into the party. Now, after his inclusion and being made the party spokesperson, it is adding on to the internal rift.”

AAP leaders had earlier tried to block his entry

Disgruntled Congress leaders, Sukhpal Singh Khaira’s entry into the party had caused much of uproar in the party known for having as many voices as it members. Three out of four MPs namely – Dr. Dhamarvir Gandhi (Patiala), Prof. Sadhu Singh (Faridkot) and Bhagwant Mann (Sangrur) had tried to block his entry into the party.

Congress turncoat was branded as someone who had been rejected by both his party he belonged to as well the citizens of state. Silence the opposition, party convener Arvind Kejriwal went ahead with Khaira’s inclusion and now the party is paying a huge price for its decision.

Mockery of Khaira by AAP leaders

AAP leaders were against the move and had said that he has failed miserably as a Congress leader and after being rejected by his parent party, he is trying to get in roads into the AAP party fold. It must be noted that Bhagwant Mann had sharply reacted against Sukhpal Khaira’s move to seek advise of his supporters through Facebook about joining Aam Aadmi Party. He even went on record to state that there was no place for leaders rejected by the people in AAP.

It is pertinent here that Mann is considered a close confidant of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal but even his critic fell on deaf ears. Eventually Khaira was inducted into the party with fanfare and was made the state party spokesperson.

Now the differences are growing rapidly between Khiara and other party leaders. Khaira also recently cried for a conspiracy against him for not getting featured in party posters.
